Ancient Dai Viet, Annam, Vietnam, around the same period of the Chinese Yuan Empire Dynasty, circa 1279 to 1368 AD and more precisely allocated during the Tran Nhan Tong kingship. A very beautifully constructed shallow and small sized bowl with astonishing modern minimalist lines. The glaze finishes originally in a pale hue celadon almost gone due the centuries of exposure to salinity, leaving behind a porous and matte surface. A genuine shipwreck item with substantial patina and rich sea encrustations. Remarkable piece, the general design has great elegance. The early ceramic from Annam (Vietnam) counts among the best of its kind all over South Eastern Asia. The ceramic shows Chinese influence and was frequently exported all across East Asia.
