Japanese Imari Porcelain, Likely From The Late Edo To Early Meiji Period (Circa 1850 To 1880). Scalloped Rim Bowl With A Red, Green, Purple, And Underglaze Blue Color Palette Is A Characteristic Of Imari Ware. The Interior Features Painted Butterflies And Floral Sprays, Along With Calligraphic Marks And Stylized Motifs. The Red Enamel And Gilt Accents Are Also Typical Of Arita Imari Export Porcelain. Butterflies, Maple Leaves, And Floral Sprays Are Frequent Decorative Elements Symbolizing Autumn And Renewal In Japanese Art. The Inside Base Shows A Series Of Brush-Written Japanese Kanji And Seal Marks, Likely A Painter’s Or Kiln Signature, Not A Mass-Production Brand Mark. The Underside Is Unmarked Except For Firing Grit And Traces Of Kiln Support. Most Likely Produced In The Arita Region (Hizen Province) In Kyushu, Japan. Intended Either For Domestic Elite Use Or Export To China Or The West. The Painting Quality And Slight Irregularities Suggest Hand-Decorated Kiln Output, Not A Factory Line. Dated As Between 1850 To 1880, Possibly Early Meiji Period, Still Strongly Influenced By Late Edo Aesthetics. Dimensions, Diameter 6.35 Inches, Equivalent To 16 Cm. All Measurements Are Approximate.
