Sarain Stump Was Born In Wyoming In 1945 And His Ancestors Were Shoshone, Cree And Salish. After Moving To Canada He Met His Wife Harriet On The Eden Valley Reserve Near Calgary. An Outstanding Graphic Artist, Poet And Thinker, He Is Also A Ranch Owner, And Missed One Of His First One Man Shows Because He Had To Finish Rounding Up The Bulls. The First Print Of His Book Of Poems And Writings Was A Celebrated Literary Work Named As, There Is My People Sleeping, And Sold Out In Seven Months. He Would Like To Help Indians Reach Back To The Wisdom Of The Old People And In This Series Of Lithographs, He Portrays Part Of The Emotional, Cultural And Psychic World Of The Plain Indians.
